The last few weeks have been a mix of fun times, trying times, learning times, crying times and laughing times. . .plus. . .
Sensory activity time. . .can I call it that?
Girl time. . .
Grandparent time. . .we are SO grateful for our parents!!! Grampas moving help, Grandpa Seths electrical help, Grammy and Gramma Beckys watching the kids and meal making help! Did I mention Grammy spent the whole night slumberpartying with Ainsley, Maddie, Taetum and Steph?!
Throwing a fit times. . .(sorry no pic)
Whining times. . . (sorry no pic)
Times. These are the times I will cherish. These are the times when I occasionally need to leave the house for "me time" when GooF walks in the door. These are the times I try to enjoy. These are the times to have toys strewn about. And so, as the TIME draws near to move, I have been thinking about the type of home I want. I want a home that moms feel welcome to stop by ANYTIME! I want a home where my kids can just be kids and their friends can come and be kids.
Excuse this House
Some houses try to hide the fact
That children shelter there,
Ours boasts it quite openly,
The signs are everywhere.
For smears are on the windows,
Little smudges are on the doors.
I should apologize, I guess,
For toys strewn on the floor.
But I sat down with my children
And we played and laughed and read.
And if the doorbell doesn't shine,
Their eyes will shine instead.
For when at times
I'm forced to choose
The one job or the other,
I'd like to cook and clean and scrub,
But first I'll be a mother.

And most importantly, it is TIME to make sure we are living out this verse that is above our door. "As for me and my house we will serve the Lord." Joshua 24:15
Now, it's sleep time. . .

Oh Emily... what a perfect post! Thanks for the wonderful reminder! Blessings to you as you move and enjoy this stage of the journey.
What a good reminder:) I often get frustrated with myself for not getting things accomplished that I wanted to. Glad homeschooling looks to be going well:)
