Camping. . .part 1

On Father's Day we headed off to our second annual camping trip. . .taking on 2 nights instead of 1 this yr. . .with enough stuff packed in our van to last a week! We stopped at Gramma and Grampa's house first for some homemade icecreamChecking out the cabin and the view. . .
And then it was off to play in the sand/lake. . .

Ryan's family joined us for hot dogs and s'mores. Wearing Gramma's hat. . .
The evening ended with stories around the fire. . .

Zippity Zoo Day

Ainsley said it looked like all of SD came to Zippity Zoo Day and I think she was correct. . .
it was busy!

Zippity Zoo Day was followed by lunch at Grammy and Grampas. . .

Oh Trey. My go with the flow, usually compliant, but likes to do things himself 22 mo old threw his first royal fit at bedtime the other night (and hopefully his last). So when I just layed him down for nap today he said, "No thank you." Nice try, but sorry Trey, that won't work either :)

"The Sun will come out tomorrow"

The sun finally did come out! We have been busy having squirt gun fights, going to the pool, plays in the park (Ainsley got to hug Cinderella and Porter got "knighted" by Prince Charming), family fun night in the park, etc etc etc. So many things I want to write about. . .the cute things the kids have said and done, the many "not me's" the kids and I have "not" done, the Esther Bible Study I'm doing, our decision to send Ainsley to public school next yr (that I'm 95% sure about). . . but there's meals to be made, needs to be met and fun to be had. That leaves little time for blogging. So, I'm hoping to just post some pics of when the sun finally did come out. .

Screaming in the Rain. . .

Rather than "singing in the rain" this morning, I heard the joyful screams of my children. . .

Dandelions, Dog, Dolls and Misc

DANDELIONS:
I was sitting at the park the other day chatting with Michelle, when Trey brings me a dandelion. Seriously sweet. How do little children know to pick dandelions for their mommies? Thank you Trey for thinking of me and for the gift!DOGS:
Porter was so cooperatively Ainsley's pet. . .DOLLS:
I got a bag of really cute little dolls at a rummage the other day, and have been playing with them with my doll!

Yes, she is a sun shine girl. . .well, except when her daddy teases her for having a pouty face. . . MISC:
We cleaned out our garage and met a sweet neighbor girl. . .

had Auntie Jenny over! Here she is after following her orders to watch the dolls while the little girls lolligagged in the bathroom :) And playing piano with Ainsley. . .We took the kids bumper bowling for the first time, and I purposefully left my camera in the car. Sure enough Ainsley was bummed that she didn't get her picture bowling, so back in the bowling alley we went, camera in tow. Then sure enough Porter was bummed that he didn't get his picture bowling, so back in the bowling alley we went again. . .
We've been silly. . .

Had some injuries. . .

had family game night. . .

gone nuts when the weather wasn't nice enough to play outside, and spent time painting with just water, and also painting with sidewalk paint. .
