Strawberry Picken'

After two nights of camping, GooF getting 4 hrs of sleep due to tent sleeping and a storm, lots of playing at the beach, swimming in a lake, toasting marshamallows, fishing, boating, roasting hotdogs, playing at the park, one feverish child w/a nasty poopy, childrens tylenol giving, bike riding, sitting up by the fire after the kids were in bed, etc, our "Happy Campers" were still actually happy! So, after loading up the van and stopping at Gramma and Grampas, we made one more stop to do something with the kids that I have always wanted to do. . .Strawberry Picken!!

Trey's container was empty most of the time. . . I wonder why? :)

He did manage to drop in a few. . . Porter, on the other hand, didn't like to eat them, so picked them for Gramma Becky. . .

The girls loved it! (Trey snackin on strawberries again :) )

GooF laughed so hard at the goats that would eat anything :)
Ready to head home after a fun-filled campin trip and strawberry picken!

We picked up dinner and headed to the duck park while on our camping trip!

Happy Campers

While camping last week, the kids got to go fishing with Grampa Seth. As Trey would say proudly, "My Grandpa Seth is a Fisherman!"

Practicing. . .
Each kid caught a fish off the dock!
Trey's big catch. . .

Porter's big catch. . ."let's take it home and eat it!"

Ainsley's big catch. . .a little concerned about the worm on the hook :)

Wonder what Trey is thinking. . .maybe wondering how the big one got away?

The kids also got a boat ride! Porter, interested in how all things work. . .
he LOVED the boat ride!

Filling our Quiver

The Psalms say. . ."Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb a reward. . . .Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them!"
Since I was a little girl, I have wanted 4 children. . . .I don't know if that qualifies as a quiver full. . .but I do indeed feel blessed.

What a joy it was to see you moving around today during the ultrasound, with your spine against my tummy making it difficult to get a good view of you. We thank God that you are growing healthy, with leg length measuring in the 90th% and weighing 1 lb 1 oz. Grammy got out a pound of butter so Ainsley could see how heavy you are :) I have placenta previa, but the dr didn't seem too concerned. We need to be cautious, but most likely the placenta will move by my next ultrasound. If not, I will for sure need a csection at the time of your birth and we are praying for no complications before then. Although we didn't find out your gender, we are pretty sure we saw little boy parts :) If we're correct, our home will be filled with much laughter, craziness, wrestling, football games, and a big sister that will make you boys into fine marriage material someday :) Our quiver will soon be filling up with two more feet. . .
and we feel blessed!

"I don't like my bed!"

Yesterday as we were listening to Trey talk, GooF said, "I'm gonna miss that little voice when he grows up." He has the sweetest voice and says the sweetest things! But, when he grows up, I don't want to forget that he sometimes acted very much like a 2 1/2 yr old :) Last night he wanted to come in our bed and when I took him back to his bed he sat on it repeatedly saying, "I don't like my bed." I assured him that if he doesn't like his bed, his other choice is the floor. Sure enough, he chose. . .
What do you know? I tucked him in his bed at naptime today and when I went to check on him. . .
And between these two episodes of choosing his floor over his bed, he was playing school with his sister. She is a wonderful teacher and does great assessments, but her classroom management could use a little work :) She left the room and I found this on the wall. . .Trey was busy cleaning up his artwork on the wall. . . .after I took a picture :)
